"great little race...first one I've ever done where the toilet facilities are in the organisors house which is 5 yards from the start line!!"
Flat 4 miles meandering around the fields between Medmenham, Mill End and the Thames then the course really started. Hard, steep climb up on to the top of Rotten Row, more meandering through woods before a descent down to Hambledon followed by another climb to the top of Rotten Row and a steep downhill finish."
"Man, that was a tough course. An hour's cycling there from Caversham (and an hour back) and those hills in the second part of the run mean that my legs are shot. Not one for pb's but for enjoying some truly fine scenery. The bit through Hambledon was a taster for the Frieth 10K on 19 October. That one's going to hurt."
"I hope this one's on for next year, thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks to the organizers - you must have put a lot of time into this one, and it's much appreciated."
"cracking race, lovely day for it and a nice challenging course and i will blame my slow time on the cycle from Reading, clearly nothing to do with the steep hills "
"a bit torturous running past a load of caravanners with their bacon sarnies and cups of tea though! and i was nearly charged by some cows in a field in the first mile as well!" |
